We just had one of the biggest rainstorms we’ve experienced in years! It lasted a couple of weeks, and now that the sun is back, the air is fresh, and everything is green and vibrant, I’m really craving more time outside. If you’re also looking forward to ditching those rain boots, getting outside, and feeling the grass between your toes, I have just the thing (well… things, plural) for you: the latest Opalhouse Designed with Jungalow outdoor collection at Target! We’ve got outdoor seating, cushions, planters, and pom poms in this collection. So dust off those sunnies, grab a wide-brimmed hat, and let’s dive into all this jungaliciousness!
I’m loving this bright and bold moment featuring our rattan pod, sun pouf, and matching outdoor sun cushion. The yellow stripes on the shell cushions remind me of striped awnings I used to see when I lived in Italy—there’s something so timeless and fun about a classic stripe. And the chunky pom on top of the shell has got to be one of my favorite design details in this collection. It’s giving limoncello vibes!
For this collection, I wanted to bring earthy tones and natural shapes to the forefront—especially in the form of planters. Planters and plants are such a great way to create visual interest in any outdoor space. They can also be used to define an area, make an otherwise sterile space (like a concrete porch) feel more alive, and they help support plants that might need a bit more TLC. Planters allow for mobility, which is great if a plant’s light or watering needs differ from others planted in the ground. And for those of us without outdoor space, planters are the best way to bring the outdoors in! Indoor plants add so much life, color, and dimension to any room. These terracotta planters come in several shapes and sizes and are the perfect vessels for large indoor or outdoor plants. I also love the wavy pattern on the light blue planter—it reminds me of ripples in a body of water. Peppering in botanicals and lighting in various sizes and heights (like on top of this wavy side table) not only draws the eye across the space but also creates a layered look you can curate indoors or out.

This is a whole vibe! I have a not-so-secret love for pattern, but did you know I also love a good matchy-matchy moment? Having the same pattern repeat on multiple surfaces—like we did here with the sun umbrella, pillows, and ceramic side table—is a great way to create cohesion. It also gives a fun nod to the ’60s and ’70s, when people often used the same print or pattern on their curtains, sofas, and tablecloths. It’s like a modern twist on a classic trend.
It’s always hard for me to pick a favorite item from an Opalhouse Designed with Jungalow drop, but I think this umbrella might be one of my top picks from the collection! The pattern (which I created by taking elements from one of my paintings and digitally piecing them together), the fringe, and the fact that it tilts so you can angle it to block the sun as it moves across the sky—all of it just makes me happy!
